Travelling to different countries has always been fun for travellers. However, some wanderlusts are always up for some extra adventure during their trips. Every other day, you will see news of someone breaking the record of walking from one state to another or travelling to the most dangerous places in the world. Road trips can provide the same level of thrill and adventure when you plan it from one country to another. People from the UK have a strange liking from Pakistan, especially after the Royal visit and 484,000 other successful British visits in 2018. If you are planning to take a chance for this thrilling adventure of travelling from the UK to Pakistan through Pak travels Birmingham, here is everything that you need to know.

About The Current Situation

This year has been a tough one for travelling as coronavirus pandemic has forced almost all the countries to lock their borders with their neighbouring countries. Similar is the case with Pakistan. One of the major problems that many people have faced about visiting Pakistan was the restrictions on the operation of one of the biggest airlines of Pakistan in the UK. Even after the restrictions have been pulled recently, not all flights are operational between the two countries. This is one of the major reasons why people may prefer road travel.

However, there are certain barriers to road travel as well. The Pakistani authorities have closed all its borders with India, Afghanistan, and Iran which is why you cannot choose any route that takes you to the end of one of these countries. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the port of Gwadar, and Line of Control. This has made it really difficult for foreigners to enter the country through road.

Entry Requirements

All the international travellers are required to present evidence of negative COVID-19 test before entering the country from 5 October 2020. The test must be taken within 96 hours of the start of the travel. There are certain countries exempted from this requirement, but the UK is not one of them. Although the list of exempted countries keeps getting reviewed, you must have an NHS conducted test for coronavirus if you want to enter Pakistan. If you travelling by air, you will be tested at the spot. If any international traveller shows any signs of COVID-19, he will be self-isolated.

Whether you travel by road or by air, you must have all your documents with you at the spot. You cannot enter the country by road without a proper ID card, passport, and visa. You will go through proper screening when you are flying. However, you are at a safer side while road travelling because chances of checking are low. This doesn’t mean that you can roam around the country freely. Chances of entrance in the country by road are low because of the pandemic, which is why you must wait for the flights to be operational instead of getting stuck in nowhere.
