How to Be Ready for the Spring Real Estate Season

IT’s been said that right after the Superbowl, the spring buying and selling season officially starts, even though much of the country may be under a cold snap.  But this is when people really start to think about buying or selling. They think if they wait too long the competition will be overwhelming so starting now can get them in the game ahead of time.

And that’s pretty true too.

So if you’re buying, start planning now by talking to a lender about how much you can afford. Get a pre-approval letter so you’re ready to submit it with an offer and be ready to jump if the right home hits the market. NOT being prepared could lose you the home.

If you’re selling, start by organizing your home (A good dose of Marie Kondo’s Tidying Up may help) and start packing and staging so that when the snow thaws and the ice melts, you’re ready to be the first on the market.
