5 Easy Steps Process to Bake Chocolate Brownie Cookies

Sometimes you can’t decide between what to eat as you crave for more than one thing simultaneously. So, if you want to eat warm chocolate cookies and a rich fudgy chocolate brownie, you must go for chocolate brownie cookies. You will get both the cookie and brownie at the same time. These cookies are very soft, chocolate rich, chewy, gooey, and super fudgy from inside and crunchy from outside.

Many individuals love to eat these cookies as they think that they are better than brownies. Many cafes and coffee shops offer a variety of cookies placed in their hot display units. But you can also make these cookies easily at home. Here is an easy recipe to make chocolate brownie cookies. In addition to the great texture and richness of cookies, the best thing about this recipe is that it is just a one-bowl recipe.

There is no need to melt the chocolate, use pots or pans, whipping cream, or beating egg whites separately. Moreover, there are no strange ingredients in this recipe and it just consists of 5 simple steps. So, let’s start the recipe:

Step 1: Gather All the Ingredients

The ingredients you will need to make chocolate brownie cookies are:

  • Cocoa powder (unsweetened) – 1/2 cup
  • White sugar (granulated) – 1 cup
  • Butter (melted) – 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Egg – 1
  • Vanilla Essence – 2 teaspoons
  • All-purpose flour or plain flour – 1 1/3 cups
  • Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips (semi-sweet) – 1/3 cup (add more if you want)

Step 2: Prepare a Baking Tray

Set the temperature of your baking oven at 350-degrees Fahrenheit or 175-degrees Celsius. Now prepare your baking tray by lining it with butter paper, cookie sheets, or parchment paper.

Step 3: Prepare the Cookie Dough

Add cocoa powder, butter, white sugar, and vegetable oil in a bowl and equally mix these ingredients. Then add egg and vanilla essence in this mixture and beat well until it’s creamy. Now mix together dry ingredients i.e. all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder. First, mix these dry ingredients and then add into the creamy mixture to make a dough. Avoid overbeating them. Now add chocolate chips as much as you want.

Step 4: Scoop Out Cookie Dough

When the cookie dough is ready, scoop out almost 1 – 2 tablespoons of dough with ice cream or cookie scoop. Place them onto the prepared baking tray lined with baking sheets. You can adjust the thickness or thinness of your cookies by pressing them down before baking. For better results, refrigerate the cookie dough for half an hour before use.

Step 5: Bake and Enjoy Chocolate Brownie Cookies

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven. The cookies will be ready within 10 – 12 minutes. The cookies will be soft when they come out of the oven but will harden upon cooling. So, avoid over-baking the cookies as they might dry out. Now let them cool on the baking tray for 5 – 10 minutes and then transfer to wire racks for proper cooling.
